How to sign in with Apple or Google
Link your Apple or Google account to the Rays Card app and sign in without typing your password.
You can sign in to the Rays Card app with your Apple or Google account. Link the account once, from the app's Settings.
Where you can use it
- Sign in with Apple: on iPhone.
- Sign in with Google: on iPhone and Android.
- You need version 1.3.1 or later of the Rays Card app.
Link your account
1. Open Account connections in Settings
Sign in to the app as usual, then tap Account connections under Security in Settings.
2. Tap Connect
Tap Connect next to the account you want to link (Apple or Google). The steps below use Google as the example.
3. Confirm it's you
Before linking, the app confirms it's you. How depends on your settings:
- If you have a passkey: confirm with your passkey (Face ID, fingerprint or similar)
- If you have two-factor authentication on: enter the code from your authenticator app
- Otherwise: tap Send code, and a code is sent to your registered email address
4. Enter the code and tap Continue with Google
Enter the 6-digit code from the email, then tap Continue with Google (Continue with Apple for Apple). On the Google (or Apple) screen that follows, choose the account to link.
5. Check that it's linked
When "Sign in with Google is on" appears and Account connections shows the linked account's email address, you're done.
Sign in with Apple or Google
1. Tap the button on the sign-in screen
On the sign-in screen, tap Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, and choose the linked account on the Apple or Google screen. No password needed.
Unlink an account
1. Tap Disconnect
In Account connections in Settings, tap Disconnect next to the account, then Turn off to confirm. You can still sign in with your password or passkeys afterwards.
Important
- You can't sign in with an Apple or Google account that isn't linked. Sign in another way, and link it first in Account connections in Settings.
- An Apple or Google account can be linked to only one Rays Card account.
- If you choose Hide My Email when signing in with Apple, Account connections shows the relay address Apple created, partly hidden.
- We recommend turning on your Apple or Google account's own security, such as two-step verification.
